October 2, 1971: Hamburger Steak and Hungry Hearts
On this day, Sarah and Dick wrote to each other about love, longing, and even desire — and in a small but striking coincidence, both mentioned eating hamburger steak for dinner. From thousands of miles apart, their lives and hearts were still in sync.
