Welcome to a new month in The Allgoods: Vietnam Through the Eyes of Love.

With this June 1st letter, we begin a new chapter—one that feels different in a deeply personal way. Until now, I had already read every letter. But from here forward, I’m reading them for the very first time.

In this episode, my dad, Dick, writes to my mom, Sarah, from Vietnam. He shares what it feels like to be apart during her pregnancy—the sadness, the guilt, and the love that still burns bright in the middle of all of it.

He calls depression “a form of expression,” and somehow, he finds a way to be happy even in the hardest moments. He holds onto their future, their family, and the belief that love will carry them through.

This is where the story opens wider—where I step deeper into their world.

Thank you for listening, and for walking with me through the rest of these letters.
